Victory Celebration

A few days after Michael’s trial ended and his innocence was proven, a group of his fans held a ceremony in London for this purpose and celebrated Michael’s victory.

Similar events were also held in America.

Below is a report from one of the Iranian fans about Michael, who had attended Michael’s victory party in London.

With thanks to Aida for sending the report she prepared from this event, and also with apologies for the delay in covering it, we invite you to read this text.... Despite all the problems that had arisen in London due to terrorist attacks, Michael’s fans gathered on Saturday to celebrate Michael’s victory.

This very interesting program, held in one of London’s clubs that has a very large dance hall and excellent lighting, began with the playing of the song “You Can’t Win,” addressed to Tom Sneddon, the prosecutor in Michael’s case.

As Michael’s fans continued singing “You Can’t Win,” they shouted in unison: “You Can’t Win Sneddon, Cause King of Pop is on the road”.

Then, along with the mix of Michael’s songs, the fans cheered and partied until “Navi,” the closest look-alike of Michael, appeared on stage to perform “Smooth Criminal.”

After that, the video from the final day of Michael’s trial—his day of acquittal—was shown in the hall, and each time the verdict of innocence was announced, the lights in the venue would turn off and on.

Then Adrian Gerent, the author of Michael’s biography book, came on stage and read a letter from Karen Faye, Michael’s makeup artist, regarding his condition.

After him, it was time for Jeffrey Daniel, a street boy whom Michael, according to his own words, had been inspired by for his Moonwalk, and who also collaborated with Michael in the videos “Smooth Criminal” and “Bad.” He came on stage and spoke about his memories with Michael. Then he sang and danced to “Rock With You.”

After that, several videos related to different ceremonies featuring Michael—videos that had not been shown until then—were displayed. Then another of Michael’s look-alikes, named “MJ Experience,” performed and also delivered a beautiful dance. He ended his program by performing “Shake Your Body” and mixing “Smooth Criminal” and “You Rock My World.”

After him, “Navi” returned to the stage once again. And after a singing contest that lasted half an hour, the ceremony ended with the fans dancing and cheering.
