Thirty-Eighth Session—Debbie Row Surprised Everyone With an Unexpected Turn!

Contrary to what people had expected, “Debbie Row”—who the prosecutor had called to testify against Michael Jackson as his former wife—turned the tables in Michael’s favor.

Not long after prosecutor Tom Sneddon’s reassuring remarks, in which he triumphantly told everyone that “Debbie Row will testify that her defense of her former husband in the second part of the documentary ‘Living with Michael Jackson’ was only due to coercion and the exploitation of her maternal feelings for seeing her children,” Debbie Row surprised the court.

The prosecution claimed that Jackson had promised Debbie Row a meeting with her children in exchange for recording this interview.

But today, Debbie Row testified before the jury that “her appearance in the mentioned documentary was entirely out of her own will and choice, and with the intention of helping her former husband—and she was never forced to say anything.”

She said that no one had given her any written material to memorize, and that she was not reciting lines in front of the cameras.

Debbie Row’s statement was in complete contradiction with the complainant’s family’s claim that she was forced to appear in this documentary.

Debbie Row called Michael Jackson a “friend,” and during her testimony she cried.

She said that Michael had told her during a phone call that the first part of the documentary “Living with Michael Jackson” was full of lies, and then asked her to help him by appearing in the second part. Debbie Row testified that in return for this help, Michael had asked for permission to meet her and their children, and Michael had agreed.

When asked about the history of her relationship with Michael Jackson, she said, “We were friends and we got married.” But she also said they never lived in the same house.

Debbie married Michael Jackson in 1996. Their union produced an 8-year-old son named Prince Michael Junior and a 7-year-old daughter named Paris Katherine Michael. The two separated in 1999. At that time, Debbie transferred all of her maternal rights, as well as the right of custody of her children, to Michael Jackson.
