Thirty-Sixth Court Session—Debbie Row Testifies

Today’s court session was devoted to discussions between the defense attorneys and the prosecution team regarding new witnesses.

The prosecutor announced that Debbie Row—Michael Jackson’s former wife and the mother of his two children, Prince (8) and Paris (7)—will appear as a witness in court.

The prosecution team expects Debbie Row to speak about the video in which she praises her former husband. The prosecution claims that Jackson promised Debbie Row a chance to meet their children in exchange for making positive statements about him in that film.

They also believe that in the video, Debbie Row was reciting lines that had been written for her to memorize.

In response, Michael Jackson’s defense attorneys said allowing Debbie Row to testify would create many problems for the case. They also threatened to show the court the three-hour interview video with Debbie Row, in which she defends Michael.

However, in the end, Judge Melville allowed the prosecution team to call Debbie Row to testify.

Another development in today’s court news was that Christopher Carter, an armed thief and a prosecution witness who was expected to testify that he saw Michael Jackson giving alcoholic drinks to the boys, decided not to testify in the witness stand.

Carter—who had previously been Michael’s bodyguard—had claimed that he saw Michael sharing a can of soda containing alcohol with a young boy.

He was recently arrested in Las Vegas for armed robbery, kidnapping, and several other charges.
