Eighteenth Session — Pivotal Decisions in Michael Jackson’s Case

In today’s court session, the prosecution team requested that witnesses from the 1993 case be called to testify in the current trial. The judge said that on the Monday of next week, he would announce his decision on the matter.

Among the witnesses the prosecution intends to call is a man who claims that in the late 1990s, after receiving several million dollars from Michael Jackson, he reached a settlement regarding allegations of sexual abuse.

The prosecution wants to portray Michael Jackson as a serial abuser.

Legal analyst Jim Hamer said: “The judge’s decision in this matter could be the most important part of the case. Calling witnesses from ten years ago could make things extremely difficult for the defense team.”

The defense believes that the case from the past decade has no connection to the current case, and bringing it up in court would not be fair. They say it could make Michael a victim of the jury’s bias.

However, even so, getting the 1993 complainant—who is now 20 years old—to appear in court will be very difficult for the prosecution.
