Today in court, Judge Melville announced that at a session scheduled for March 28, he will decide whether members of the jury should be informed about the 1993 allegations against Michael Jackson.

The defense attorneys have argued that the 1993 case is completely unrelated to the current case. However, the prosecution is trying to bring the past allegations into this trial.

The judge also allowed Michael Jackson’s defense attorney to subpoena comedian George Lopez to the witness stand. The accuser’s father had claimed that Lopez stole $300 from his son. The defense believes the boy confirmed the story about Lopez stealing the money under pressure from his father.

After this incident, Lopez cut ties with this family.

Also discussed in today’s court session were the magazines that were seized from Michael’s home.

These magazines had not been fingerprinted until they were shown to the previous jury in April 2004. As alleged, during that day’s court session, the accuser touched one of the magazines.

After that, the magazines were fingerprinted, and fingerprints of Michael Jackson as well as the accuser were found on one of these magazines.

The prosecution claims that Michael showed this magazine to the accuser and his brother in Neverland. Meanwhile, the defense attorneys say: how can it be determined when the accuser touched the magazines—at Neverland, or during that court session, in front of the jury?

In line with rejecting the defense’s arguments, the prosecution claims that the accuser did not touch the magazine in question during that court session.

The defense attorneys also stated that Michael once surprised the accuser while he was looking at these magazines in Neverland.

Michael was not present at this court session.
