Court Session 12: Display of Seized Property

Michael Jackson arrived at the Santa Maria courthouse today wearing a shiny blue jacket, black satin pants, and a green and blue vest. As in previous times, his mother and father accompanied him to the 12th main session of his trial. In today’s session, the remaining seized items from Michael Jackson’s home were displayed for the jury. These included a sexy magazine, DVDs, and books that had been obtained from the search of Michael’s room. Although the prosecutor did not directly link these items to the criminal case currently underway against Michael, the 15-year-old complainant and his 14-year-old brother claimed that Jackson showed those magazines to them in his room. Three police officers who took the witness stand said that none of these items were illegal. The young complainant and his younger brother also could not remember which of them they had seen. The publication dates of some of these magazines relate to after the complainant’s family left Neverland in March 2003. Victor Alvarez, one of the Santa Barbara police detectives who had been called to the witness stand, was unable to read the date written on one of the DVDs.
