Jury selection session 3

Michael Jackson got out of his car wearing a black suit and a red vest, and after waving to the fans gathered at the location and undergoing a physical inspection, he entered the courtroom. Where, for the third time, in his presence, the question-and-answer process with the selected jurors for his case was restarted.

The session began with the judge, Melville, introducing Jackson to the prospective jurors. Judge Melville asked that if any of these people personally know Jackson, they should introduce themselves. Such a person was not present in court. Michael said nothing, but he waved at them and smiled.

Then Thomas Mesereau asked the jurors questions about their feelings toward Michael. Thomas Mesereau, who considers Jackson’s teenage accuser a liar, asked them whether they considered the accuser trustworthy or not. A woman responded that she feels sympathy for Jackson because she herself has been accused twice of lying about child sexual abuse.

When they were asked whether they could have the same kind of behavior toward the famous defendants and witnesses as they do with ordinary people, all of them said that they could.

At the end of the day, only one of these 240 people was eliminated—an 82-year-old man who was not in good physical condition.

After the court session ended, Michael Jackson left the courthouse. The next court session will be tomorrow morning, February 15.
