Michael Jackson Arrived Late at Court

Michael Jackson arrived late at court today, which prompted Judge Melville to warn his lawyer. The judge announced that he would give Mr. Michael one hour, and then he would issue an order for his arrest.

Thomas Mesereau, Michael Jackson’s lawyer, explained to the judge that Michael had been taken to the hospital today due to a severe backache so he could receive treatment.

Mesereau was also, outside the courthouse, in contact with the hospital on his mobile phone.

Minutes after the allotted time, Michael Jackson entered the courthouse grounds. Michael, very cautiously (because of his severe backache), entered the courthouse building while looking distressed, wearing the jacket he had on over his hospital clothes.

Before the start of the hearing, the lawyers spoke in the judge’s office, and Judge Melville told the jury: “Mr. Jackson arrived late due to a medical issue,” asking them to ignore this, because he does not want the jury to judge Mr. Jackson with a negative view.

The judge continued: “The trial hearing will continue, and during this time I will not make any comments about Mr. Jackson’s case.”
